I am a feminist medical and sociocultural anthropologist and associate professor of anthropology at the University of Arizona.

My research focuses on migration, community health, psychosocial wellbeing, and resource-related struggles in borderlands, including around food and water insecurity.

I conduct ethnographic and community-based collaborative research primarily in the US Southwest and the central Mediterranean.
